Pricing

The fees requested by the KIDSCREEN Group for using the KIDSCREEN instruments, vary according to the study type and financing, as follows:

Not funded & government funded academic research This category pertains to the use of the KIDSCREEN questionnaires in academic qualification work, e.g. dissertations, and in the general academic context. It also includes research funded by universities, foundations and government, but not commercial research funded by industry (please refer to commercial studies below).

Costs for the KIDSCREEN Manual are applicable. Use of the questionnaires is free. Investigators must purchase the KIDSCREEN Manual (40 € plus 10 € handling and shipping in Europe; 20 € handling and shipping elsewhere) and complete the Collaboration Forms.

After registration the investigator will be sent the KIDSCREEN manual with CD containing all questionnaires in all languages for children and for parents as well as a scoring instruction. Access to data collected with the KIDSCREEN questionnaires is maybe requested upon completion of the study.

Large non-commercial organisation research and evaluation
(e.g. States, Nations, Hospitals, Healthcare Systems)
Costs for the KIDSCREEN Manual are applicable. Use of the questionnaires depends on the sample size used.
A cooperation agreement is required for all multi-centre studies, foundations, school systems, clinics, managed care organisations, or research organisations to use the KIDSCREEN questionnaires. The completion of the Collaboration Forms is required.
Costs for the purchase the KIDSCREEN Manual and the KIDSCREEN questionnaire use are 40 € (plus 10 € handling and shipping in Europe; 20 € handling and shipping elsewhere). Fees for the non-commercial use of the KIDSCREEN questionnaires are not collected at this point, but donations to the project are welcome.

Commercial studies 
Costs for the KIDSCREEN Manual are applicable and fees for questionnaire use are mandatory, they depend on the sample size.

A cooperation agreement is required for all commercial multi-centre studies to use the KIDSCREEN questionnaires. The completion of the Collaboration Forms is required.
Costs for the purchase the KIDSCREEN Manual and the KIDSCREEN questionnaire use are 40 € (plus 10 € handling and shipping in Europe; 20 € handling and shipping elsewhere).

Depending on the sample size, the fees for the commercial use of the KIDSCREEN questionnaires vary between 500 € and 5000 €.

After registration the investigator will be sent a registration number and a password for access to the KIDSCREEN website folder “Members only”. This folder contains downloads with the KIDSCREEN child and adolescent and parent/proxy versions in all available translations as well as other useful material.
